Snowboarding, daddy and diapers, and post prego update
For your viewing pleasure two goofy dogs that we saw in the parking lot at Targhee. On Saturday I finally got to boarding for the first time this season. Kyle and I went up with our friends Brit and Tyler. And it was Kacen's first trip to the ski hill! This was after a fun day of boarding, and no, we did not take him up on the hill with us. We just took turns watching the baby in the lodge.
I really surprised myself with what I was able to do! I had a blast but was a little sore afterward. I hit some nice powder runs and caught a little air on some kickers!
This picture wouldn't load right but I had to put it on anyway because Kacen is so happy to be up at the ski hill!
Kacen and his little buddy Calving just hanging out in the lodge. Some really nice lady came over while me and Brit were out and asked Tyler if she could hold Calvin and then she wanted to hold Kacen and then she volunteered to watch them both so we could go ski together, it was really funny. But really nice of her and yes, we did trust our kids with her and they were fine.
So here is a little post pregnancy up-date for any of you who didn't know when I was sent home from the hospital my knees were still numb from my epidural but now that I have finally been able to exercise and get the circulation to them I am feeling great. The only set back is this stupid hemorrhoid, I know that is a little personal but still I bet almost all you moms can sympathize with me. But Kacen is doing great too. He is a great little sleeper I feed him around 9:00 p.m. and then he sleeps til about 4:00 a.m. and then goes back down at 4:30 and we wake up around 7:00 it is really great. And he is really good most of the time about falling asleep on his own if we lay him in his crib awake. I think this is mostly because some of the tips I got from "On Becoming Baby Wise," all you moms or expectant mothers should really read it. Kacen is almost laughing now and it is really cute.
And for anyone who was nervous about how Ky would be as a dad he is great! Here is changing the baby which I can get him to do every now and then. It is probably good we had a boy first cuz he is pretty rough with the little guy but Kacen doesn't seem to mind.Thursday, March 25, 2010
Funny Little Guy
O.k. here is the closest picture I have been able to get to him smiling. He really does smile a lot but it is just hard to catch.
I have been trying to get back in shape and man it is hard! I am so out of shape I can only jog about halfway around the park. Oh well I think it will come back to me eventually. It probably doesn't help though that I like to bake and have been doing a lot of it lately. Luckily I have a lot of great friends that like to eat what I cook so we don't eat it all. I can't wait for warmer weather here and then we can go play at the park on nice green grass. I am getting really excited for this weekend because I get to go skiing for my first time this year. And next weekend will be so great because I get to go see my parents who are flying in from Georgia and they are going to come stay with us for week and my brother Jake is on leave from Iraq and I will get to see him too. And I am really excited because I finally will get to go Flowriding next weekend and maybe even indoor sky diving at IFly. I love having my body back, haha well mostly.

What we do
Kacen and I just chill'n and he is wearing a super cute outfit that his Aunt K'Leena and friend Amy gave him. He is growing so big and already fits in some 3 month clothes, well mostly just his length all the pants we have for him just sag off his waist but they fit him in the length.
Kyle is super busy with school right now so Kacen and I just have to entertain ourselves. We go for lots of walks. We like to walk to the library, the store, and we especial like going to Great Harvest to get a slice of bread.
Here is Kacen all bundled up for a walk, while it is nice and sunny here...we still live in Rexburg and it is pretty cold for nice sunny day.

Bountiful Baskets
Hey everyone, my friend Alisha told me about this great program called bountiful baskets. You get a whole laundry basket size box of produce for $15. Visit bountifulbaskets.org to see if they do the program in your area. It is sort of complicated how it all works so read the website carefully.

Create
I just saw the coolest thing on my friends blog. It is a video of Elder Uchtdorf called "Create." There are all sorts of great videos on youtube. And I have been trying really hard to get a cute picture of Kacen smiling, because he does it all the time now.....well at least when is fed, changed and in a relatively good mood. He smiles a lot at me and my voice and he loves Kyle sometimes he will just smile when Kyle is talking or sitting next to him even if Ky isn't looking at him. All the pictures I have so far make him look like a fat old man so just be patient and some cute ones will come soon, I'm sure of it.
Randoms
I made a really yummy chocolate cake for Sunday. I was really bored. And actually I sort of lied....it tasted o.k. but it looks a lot yummyer than it really was, haha.
Aunt Amy made a super cute tie for Kacen. He looked so cute in it and I got a ton of compliments on it at church. She said she found a pattern online and now a lot of my friends and ladies from my ward are making their own. Thanks Amy!

We love our friends!
Here are all our friends having a pancake dinner at Brit and Tyler's. From left to right: Kyle, Tyler, Braeden, Calvin, Alisha, Kacen, Danielle, Heather and Clay.
Here are the guys eating dinner in the dining room, it was really funny because us girls went into the living room to eat because there wasn't enough room at the table for all six of us but the boys all stayed in the kitchen to eat.
