In Case You Haven't Heard

If you haven't heard yet or guessed yet...

The reason why Kyle was smiling so goofy for most of our family Christmas photos is because he had a secret that he was hiding from all ya'll.
This secret explains why Kyle has been able to sneak a ton of pictures of me passed out.
I'm pregnant! Whoo hoo! We are expecting our next little one within the first week of August. I have been so lucky with this pregnancy as I was with Kacen's I do not vomit at all, just a little nausea and a ton of exhaustion. I am really lucky though, being here with my in-laws Valarie is so helpful with taking care of Kacen when I am so tired I can't move. I am about 13 weeks along now. So I gotta know, in Utah and Idaho I had frequent ultrasounds, like seriously frequent, in Utah they would take one each time I went. I was not high risk but I know I had at least 6 during the pregnancy. Here they do ONE at 20 weeks. So I gotta know was I just weirdly spoiled on this account or how many ultrasounds is common?

Oh man it was so funny when we told some of our family members about the pregnancy this is how we started.

Us: "So you know how I have been sick and going to the doctors all the time? Well we found out after all of these blood tests today that I have a parasite in my abdomen."
Them: "Well what are they going to do about it?"
Us: "If I take my medicine, it will continue to live but will eventually pass naturally and I just need to wait til it comes out."
Them: "That is all they are going to do? How long is this going to take?" (Kyle started laughing uncontrollably totally blowing the cover)
Us: "Us about six months. But the good news is, it is just a baby, a human baby"

Anyway we are pretty darn excited! Also the first week of our co-op went extremely well and we are looking forward to many more great weeks.

Random Thoughts

This morning as we were getting ready for church Kyle was taking Kace out of timeout (he is in timeout a lot, haha) and Ky says, "You were in time out because you didn't listen to  mom and dad, do you know what it means to listen?" And Kacen asks, "Jesus?"

Twice now in a about the last month I have asked Ky to get me a snack of cheese and crackers, this is so cute and funny because Ky doesn't "cook" often; so I was expecting a slab of cheese and crackers still in the sleeve. But nope he really delivers, the first time he brought me a variety of crackers and cheese (cheddar, pepper jack, string cheese cut into little cubes, and a pile of shredded cheddar cheese, haha) all arrayed on a plate decoratively. Even the second time I expected string cheese and a sleeve a crackers but I should have known better, he is so good.

Just a couple funny things from movies lately that made me bust a gut:
1. Mr. Popper's Penguin, Nimrod tries to hatch a snow globe.
2. Money Ball, Billy Bean asks Peter how many player profiles he completed and Peter replies, "46....51 I don't know why I lied just then."

Wow Late I Know...gotta blog more

The problem isn't that I don't blog enough, it is that I don't do my own blogging enough, mostly I just look at other people's so thanks to all of you who do update cuz I love it.

Well here's what you missed:
Christmas Morning

Yep that was it. We are so lame and did not get one picture of him opening or enjoying his gifts. LAME-O's
Ky and I took Kace to Hershey Chocolate World for family night early this month.
Kace loves the ride and sits still for the whole thing.

They have a whole candy covered house, Kacen knows candy from a mile away and just wanted to figure out how to get to the house.
We had this crazy hot day earlier in January so we went outside to try out Kacen's new soccer ball.
He loves it, I missed the photos of it but because he is a lefty he kicks lefty, meaning if he keeps up his interest in soccer he will be a great asset to a team someday! Outside left kicker, go Kacey!

And today we got SNOW!!!!! Finally! We loved it. haha this picture doesn't prove that but this was like the fourth face plant Kace took and finally he cried. But daddy was there to clean him up.

Makeshift sled out of a giant metal mixing bowl, it worked great and Kacen really liked it.

And now for the great news:
Most of you know that Kyle has been looking for a new job for a long time now, you know a real career type job. Well prayer upon prayer was answered this week, in a series of amazing events. To keep it simple Ky ran into a high school friend, who recommended a job, he then applied, heard back a day later, had an interview, got an offer two hours later! And what is this new job you ask? Ky will be working in the Emergency Department at a hospital as a patient care assistant. The even better news, we are applying for him to go back to school as a sonographer (ultrasounds), wish us luck and continue to send your prayers our way.

Other fun news:
Valarie and I are trying to start up a produce co-op in our area. For those of you out west pretty much our own Bountiful Baskets, our first run is this week we will see how it goes.
