Playing Catch Up

I know I haven't posted anything in quite a long time. So this post will cover Father's Day, my birthday and hanging out with our friends.

Kyle's first Father's Day as a dad went pretty well, I made him absolutely delicious ginger snaps, well they were probably more for me seeing as how I ate more than half of them. And he has been asking me for taco soup for a long time so I made him that. Kyle really is such a great dad to Kacen. He will change diapers, put him to sleep, play with him (sometimes a little more rambunctious than I think is appropriate, but Kacen seems to like it), and he loves to just hold him and hang out.June 21st was my Birthday. Sorry no pictures, I went to IHOP with my friend Brit for breakfast then went shopping in Idaho Falls, I only bought a pair of shorts. It is really hard shopping for myself I kept going to the baby isles and looking for clothes for Kacen. Then me, Ky and my awesome sister-in-law Jessi went to Wingers for dinner.

I decided to try and have a yard sale. Waawaawaa, it was a big flop, I only made $7 I guess no one wants our used junk, haha. Actually I was selling some pretty good stuff at great price, I think I just need to take my stuff to a bigger sale maybe I'll try that in a couple weeks.
Well Summer finally decided to come to Rexburg! So we went out to do our usual thang. Weenie Roasts! I love cooking over a fire it was such a blast! We went out with, Danielle, Clay, Brittany, Tyler and their baby Calvin. We roasted hot dogs with refrigerated crescent rolls wrap around them and then some s'mores, yum yum yum. I had a real Homer Simpson moment though thinking that I could seriously live by a fire, skewer in hand and a large cacophony of food surrounding me and be quite content just roasting everything. It all tastes better over a fire, not to mention a fire that I started, thank you very much.
Here is our little guy hanging out in the camping chair loving his first cook out. He was so good and really liked looking at the fire and just fell right asleep in his seat chill'n with the gang.
Me and Calvin and Kacen, just best buddies. Don't worry that I look sort of goofy, haha oh well.
And here they are doing best bud stuff, haha well mostly just hanging out while we pose them, they needed some help from Ky to stay up. But soon enough they will be running a muck.
So the start of our summer has been pretty fun. If only Ky wasn't in school, but soon enough he will be done, then off we go to join the real world, right? So friends and family remember that we are looking for a job in the recreation field something starting in August. Well I will definitely post more pictures soon.

Horray for Coupons!

Haha isn't that guy just too cute! Today his Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Daniel came by to visit while they were in town. And aunt Katrina was having some fun with him and the goggles. I love my family and I am so grateful they make tie to see me. And wow this kid just realized like two hours ago that if he rolls over enough times he can get where he wants, haha wow this is fun! He is just rearing to go go go.

And thanks to Albertson's for having items priced incorrectly, did you know if your item scans for the wrong price they give to you for free? Also if you aren't signed up with kraft foods to get free samples do it, they have sent me like 10 new samples in the last month, lots of free great food.

Weekend Fun

Now that the weather is getting somewhat better we are going outside a lot more. Here I am with Kacen, he looks drugged but it was either a good picture of him or a good picture of me so I chose the one that I looked good in, haha. And I am playing soccer on our ward team, unfortunately we keep forgetting the camera (or bringing it and forget we have it) so I don't have any sweet pics of me in action. But our team has been doing pretty good, not really due to my skills, I am so out of shape but it is still fun to play.

Babies First Food
Friday night we were really bored so we decided to go to the store and get Kace some rice cereal. He ate it like a champ, and he has had more since, I think he likes it. Haha wow you know you are a bored stay at home mom when your weekend entertainment is feeding your baby.
Our weekend got a little more fun Saturday when we went to Guitars Unplugged at the college. Kacen's first concert, it was pretty fun. Our little guy is so crazy, he totally has a mind of his own. A nice lady at church wanted to hold him, and you know how grandmas are, they just want to hold and cuddle babies, well Kace does not like to fall asleep in your arms he thinks interaction means play time. She gave him back and just said, "wow he is strong," cuz she kept trying to cuddle him but he just really isn't a cuddler (I totally wish he was though). Well sometimes when I write a post it is late and then I don't have anything neat to write so that's that's.

Four Months

Okay well Kacen is growing up so fast! He is now four months old and just as cute as ever! Today was the first sunny day we have had in a while. So after spending my morning laying on the couch feeling like I was dying, I was so so so sick this morning. But then I decided to get up and go take some photos because I have just been waiting for a good day. And I'm not going to lie I am pretty proud of some of these photos.

He is now 13 lbs. 3 oz. and 25 in.

He can roll over both ways but doesn't like to go from belly to back he usually just whines until we help him over.

Smiles a lot and laughs a little more frequently

He has started showing some real interest in toys and he loves playing with his frogs and blankey. He sleep really well, most of the time. And we just love him so much, I am so grateful for my little family and for all my family and friends, you are all so amazing.
